Telecommunication Technician

Telecommunications technicians work on installation and commissioning of Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, MW / transmission, DC power and any other related equipment. They follow the general procedures for programming, commissioning, and integration of equipment, and must work with equipment from various manufacturers.

Assume responsibility for the installation of RF systems, elements, and accessories of all kinds
Assume responsibility for the programming and commissioning of the equipment, as well as the necessary tests
Work safely at all times
Perform upgrades and maintenance as required
Perform emergency repairs and service recovery when required as well as troubleshooting
Any other activities required to successfully complete the project


College degree in electronics and/or equivalent minimum experience.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in installation and testing of 2G, 3G, 3G +, LTE generation RF systems
Good working knowledge and experience on installation, programming, upgrading and commissioning of telecommunication equipment.
Experience and ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field and remotely.
Good working knowledge of test equipment and procedures (e.g. OTDR, PIM, etc...). 
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English. 
Ability to travel when and where required
Team player who is results oriented
No criminal record
Hold a valid driver’s license


French language would be an asset.
RAN test experience would be an asset.
