Project Engineer

Groupe Consertek is a dynamic and growing company actively involved in the field of renewable energy and telecommunications infrastructure. We specialize in the installation and construction of meteorological towers structures, active voice and data transport networks, as well as the installation and commissioning of weather measuring instruments.

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview

The Project Engineer plays a key role in the comprehensive management of engineering projects, from design to delivery, including planning, analysis, and supervision of construction work.
He/she ensures quality, safety, and the achievement of project objectives while coordinating resources, teams, and subcontractors to meet technical, budgetary, and scheduling objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Planning:

Define project objectives, schedules, and budgets, and estimate required resources.

Design and analyze structures using advanced engineering methods and software.

Develop detailed plans, drawings, and technical specifications for construction projects.

  • Team Coordination:

Supervise and manage technical and operational staff, as well as subcontractors.

Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Resource Management:

  Ensure availability of supplies, materials, and budgets to ensure resource efficiency.

  • Risk Management:

Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Stay up to date with construction standards and technologies related to structures and apply them to ongoing projects.

  • Monitoring and Control:

Conduct on-site inspections to assess the condition of existing structures, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective measures.

Monitor project progress, ensure compliance with quality standards, and make necessary adjustments.

  • Communication:

Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to discuss technical aspects and project requirements.

Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders and provide project updates.

  • Documentation:

Prepare analytical reports and document key project decisions throughout the process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of TIA-222 and CSA S37 standards (major asset).
  • Experience in consulting engineering (asset).
  • Experience in field supervision of related projects.
  • Member in good standing with OIQ.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel across Canada and the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fully bilingual (French/English), spoken and written.
  • Strong organizational skills, methodical, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to adapt and solve problems effectively.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
  • Autonomous, resourceful, and versatile.
