As a Team leader, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations on construction sites, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with the company's quality, safety, and compliance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise a team of line installers, technicians, and subcontractors on construction sites for various types of towers (monopole, self-supporting, guyed), providing clear instructions and guidance throughout the process.
- Organize and plan daily tasks to maximize efficiency and achieve set objectives.
- Ensure that work is completed on schedule, according to technical specifications, and in compliance with the company's quality standards.
- Enforce health and safety policies on construction sites, identifying and mitigating potential risks while raising awareness among the team.
- Collaborate closely with the management team to ensure smooth communication and regular project updates.
- Participate in performance evaluations of team members, providing appropriate support and training to foster their professional development.
- Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials and equipment for construction sites.
- Prepare regular reports to the project manager on work progress, encountered issues, and corrective measures taken.
- Perform other related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a diploma from a lineman school.
- Previous experience as a Contremaitre or in a similar role.
- 8 years of experience in tower assembly, installation, and construction, including antennas, transmission line systems, and meteorological equipment (an asset).
- Strong understanding of project plans, technical specifications, and requirements.
- Team management experience (an asset).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to travel throughout Canada.
- Strong leadership skills and effective communication abilities.
- Manual dexterity and proficient use of tools.
- Bilingual (French-English).
- Capable and willing to work at heights.
- Valid driver's license.
